Dragon’s Den is a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) production of Sony’s original concept which consists of entrepreneurs pitching their ideas in order to secure investment finance from business experts — the “Dragons”. The show is inspiring, very entertaining and considering the economic climate we’re facing, provides a wonderful venue to encourage VC funding and get the moneys flowing again. On “Shark Tank” it would be impossible to ride the bike.
@sandcrawler22 driving is for peasants!!
very cool product, i’d like one if the price is reasonable. I’ve tried to bike in the snow and its brutally difficult. Its good that these guys didn’t lose half of their company to the dragons. I hope to see this product in stores soon.
Ktraks are badass. Glad they didn’t let those investors take 50%!
Ya, your kinda a dumbass eh? The villian in all this is the “dragons” There just trying to fuck this guy over, theres nothing wrong with what he said or what he did, i would of told these guys to go fuck there-selves right away. it was a good move on his part.
I hate how it shows these fuckers sitting in the back of these nice cars, whyd you buy it if your not gonna drive it. Fuck your hat asshole.
@dimitraeus202 If you would understand, 50% IS a good deal. Gotta understand that VCs also acts like CEOs or CFOs in a company. They would be responsible for managing and finance and etc. So without a big stake of the company, they wouldn’t have the incentive to lead the company to the top. Remember, doesnt matter how good a product is, if the management fails, the company will fail. So with these well-known business owners as my partner, i wouldve taken the deal because i would learn a lot more
well im thinking of getting one hahahaha. wtf did they make this a tv show.
north americans are generally greedy than europeans so this show is a representation of their attitudes
i actually like i think hes very smart and stands up for what he believes is right
That cocky arrogance Brett Wilson loves so much is exactly what’s wrong with the “Man” image these days. No humble confidence, no class- all hateable douchebag.
“that’s why I wear loose pants.” Cuz if you wore tight pants, everyone could see you have tiny shrivelled raisin testicles, you slimy turd!
*punch in the FACE*
seasonal and maybe 1 in 20 likes to do snow sports regularly .
i cant stand their accents lol..the british.
you know i think the dragons were way too greedy on this one and they realized that at the end… I am happy that these guys didnt give in to the temptation of 300,000. If i were them, i would try the banks again and keep the company 100% to myself.
That bald guy is incredibly slimey.
I literally would not do business with him on character alone.
Probably…..
Looking more at this, I think the Dragons in this really don’t know what they’re doing when it comes to a product such as this that it trully interesting and those presenting the idea have leverage.
They are so used to steamrollering every person that goes in there and getting 50% that they are at a loss what to do with a real product that they will have to take seriously and cannot roll over the inventors.
There’s no equality between investors and inventors on this show. That’s what makes it boring. Dragons seem to think 50% or no deal.
In uk it’s much more realistic and there’s a proper balance.
The people who are looking for investment on this seem to lack self esteem.
whoa, that was really greedy. when i heard 55% i was like wtf!?
This was a really difficult situation. They wanted a big chunk, but I can understand why they felt they needed that insurance. And it’s a reasonable turndown too.
Just a deal they couldn’t make work. It’s too bad they didn’t try more creative solutions, like a “first payback” right or a reduction over time. Or ask for more money to grant the bigger stake.
Way to go boys. Stupid product, but way to say FU to yet another hostile takeover in the ‘Den.
Im in toronto and the uk version is better. Im sick of O’leary and his hostile takeovers.
Ok, getting totally tired of people bashing the CBC version of the show. I’m not interested in watching British versions where they make every deal, and 10% partnerships. I’m interesting in seeing people risk it to get the buscuit.
Insane they let this go.
“We might’ve made a mistake”
“Yeah, they should’ve taken the offer”
No, arseholes, you should have made a fair offer instead of trying to screw them.
ah this version is good. The dragons are just as good as the uk version
What a retard
